Role Overview

As a Frontend Engineer at Layerswift, you’ll take a leading role in building sleek, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces that power our platform. You’ll collaborate closely with our design, product, and backend teams to create features that delight our users and help them succeed.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain high-quality, performant frontend applications using modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to turn wireframes and mockups into seamless user experiences.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across devices.
• Implement clean, maintainable code with a strong focus on reusability and best practices.
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth functionality.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in frontend development.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring a smooth user experience at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience as a frontend engineer, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in React.js, Vue.js, or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.
• Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Zustand, or Vuex.
• Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Passion for creating user-centric designs and improving the customer experience.
• Bonus: Experience with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, or design systems.
• Bonus: Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.

You’ll work closely with data scientists, frontend developers, and product teams to ensure our systems are robust, fast, and efficient.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs to power our weather insights platform.
• Build and optimize data pipelines that process large volumes of weather data in real-time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between backend systems and user-facing applications.
